On this day on June 15, 1955, Australia cricket team scored their highest Test total 758 for 8 in the fifth Test against West Indies in Kingston.
Australia set a new recode by scoring five individual century in an innings. However, this was the first time in cricket history, five players scored an individual century in an innings. The five century scored by Neil Harvey 207 runs, Ron Archer 128 runs, Colin McDonald 127, Richie Benaud 121 runs and Keith Miller 109 runs.
Also for the first time in Test cricket history five bowlers conceded more than 100 runs. Dewdney 115,King 126, Atkinson 132, Smith 145 and Worrell 116. Australia won by an innings and 82 runs.
Australian 758 runs is the 8th highest Test total by team. The highest Test total scored by Sri Lanka 952 for 6 against India at Colombo in 1997.
